It is the perfect way to discover the most of the wonderful artwork done by the famous artist Cesar Manrique on his home island of Lanzarote, and his influence on it.
The first visit will be at the Monumento Al Campesino in the middle of the Island where Cesar designed it to honor the farmers of the island for their hard work.
Getting to know who is Cesar Manrique will definitely be easy when we enter his Foundation to discover how talented he was. A great exhibition of his painting and how he created his living space, within five volcanic bubbles originated with the18th century eruptions.
Driving to the north passing by Teguise village until we reach the highest peak of the Island, Las Peñas del Chache where you can take a look at the east coast of Cesar´s Island while having a drink or coffee.
Continuing our artist road through Haria, The Valley of the thousand palm trees, heading up to the north where we will find the breathtaking Mirador del Rio which overlooks to Archipielago Chinijo, La Graciosa, Montaña Clara, and Alegranza Islands.
The second chapter of the journey through the steps of our beloved César Manrique begins with the option to choose between two of the island's most mysterious places:
Cueva de los Verdes, an underground labyrinth that hides secrets beneath the earth.
Exploring its tunnels is like stepping into a world of shadows and light that change with each step. The mysterious atmosphere and the volcanic formations of its walls will leave you in awe.
Jameos del Agua, part of a long lava tunnel from the Corona Volcano.
Jameos del agua is where Cesar Manrique mixed art and architect to built a fascinating subterranean pathway, an auditorium, and an artificial pool. Jameito lives there, come and meet him.
The last stop is really relaxing spot, a different garden from the ones we are used to, where different types of cactus from Africa, America and other places around the world made the place a wonderful Cactus Garden. You can have a drink while you chill looking at the beautiful Cactus Garden or walk around it.

Great tour! Really fantastic tour to learn about Cesar Manrique and the impact he had on the island. Roland, our guide, and Charlie, our driver, were a fantastic team. Especially Roland, who was a wealth of information and seemed to always have something interesting to say wherever we were on the route. His language skills were most impressive and his sense of humour kept us smiling throughout. The tour felt planned out to perfection, with an excellent amout of time at each stop; we never felt rushed nor did we feel bored.
What can I say we absolutely loved this tour. We had a fantastic day out and was well worth the money. Coach driver and Tour Guide were amazing and would definitely recommend
Nice and beautiful ! The guide was super nice and funny ! The instruction and anecdotes about the city were a plus. The pick up to your hotel is very convenient. The city itself is beautiful !
