Most
of the people who visit Lanzarote arrive by plane. Today as Canarian Transfer we will talk about César
Manrique airport, that is Lanzarote airport.
Where is Lanzarote airport
The

An airport with a

Lanzarote airport is the third in terms of passengers

2018 more than 7 millions people passed from there.
The main national destinations are Madrid, Gran Canaria
and Tenerife North.
The international traffic is focussed on UK and Germany.
These 2 countries, with other european ones, overcome the 60% of the volumes of
the total air traffic.
Actually most of the flights are regular flights while in
the past there were more charter flights.
Different
terminals
Nowadays there are two terminals by the airport. The Terminal 1 is for
international and national flights, except for flights among Canary Islands
that are operated from Terminal 2.
The
actual Terminal 2 has been built as first so it was used for every kind of
flights.
In
1999 the new terminal (the actual
terminal 1), has been opened, with more capacity that the original ones.
It
became the main terminal of Lanzarote airport, and the other smaller started to
be used just for flights among islands.
There
is also a cargo terminal used for the traffic of merchandise.
