The best option to enjoy a special Sunday in Gran Canaria climbing Tamaraceite we reach a height of between 600 and 1,500 meters that surprises all our visitors with its greenery and crops, a landscape that will accompany us for much of the day, very different from the one we are used to in the south of the island, and in which an important agricultural and livestock activity is carried out. Our destination, where two traditional markets take place on Sundays, the historical and cultural city of Teror and San Mateo.
Teror:
With an authentic and traditional aspect, you will be able to see the basilica of Nuestra Señora Virgen del Pino, patron saint of Gran Canaria, declared of cultural interest, as well as magnificent manor houses and Canarian-style palaces that attest to the historical importance of this population.
Its street market with a great atmosphere combines local products with crafts, clothing and souvenirs. It is a pleasure to combine shopping and a stroll through its pedestrian streets
San Mateo:
We continue to San Mateo, a municipality with a marked agricultural and livestock character, where on Sundays a very interesting market of local gastronomic products, fruits, vegetables, cheese, nuts, spices... takes place. An explosion of aromas and flavors that you cannot miss, seasoned with musical performances that invite you to dance.
A gift for our senses.
