This essential excursion starts at the Yaiza Village, where we will visit a traditional restaurant to have the morning coffee.
We will begin this tour through the lava flows that will mark our way to reach El Golfo. There you will have free time to visit the esmerald green lake Charco de Los Clicos or what we call it Lago Verde (The Green Lagoon).
We will pass by the Salinas de Janubio, where salt is still collected today, it is something typical of the island and has colorful corners. We will continue along the road next to the volcanic ashes, until the Camel Ride around the base of the Montañas del Fuego, where you will have the optional possibility of riding one of these beautiful animals. The area can be quite windy and sunny, we recommend that you bring a jacket or hat with you.
After this special moment, we will go to the Timanfaya National Park. Our guide will show you, from inside our bus, the extensive lava fields formed by the eruptions of the 18th century. In the heart of Montañas del Fuego, we will show you the geothermal experiments, demonstrating the power of heat below the surface (610ºC at 13m) and you will be able to see the natural oven where food is cooked with natural heat. Inside the bus, the crater route takes us through the best landscapes in the park, showing spectacular lava flows of different textures and colors.
After this bus tour of the volcano, at lunch time we will enjoy in one of the recommended restaurants on the island, where you will have an open buffet to choose what you want. Throughout our tour, we will enjoy a refreshing traditional volcanic wine tasting in one of the beautiful wineries on the island. So we will drive towards La Geria.
We will head north, passing by the Monumento al Campesino in the center of the island and through the Teguise village upward towards the highest peak of the island, Peñas del Chache (671 m) where you will have time to take a fresh breath while you see the eastern side of the island. Continuing our trip driving down into the Valley of the Thousand Palm trees in Haria until we reach Jameos del Agua a unique place in the world with a subterranean natural salt lake, restaurant, gardens, a pool, museum, and auditorium. An amazing place created with artist touch by Cesar Manrique.

Great tour! Really fantastic tour to learn about Cesar Manrique and the impact he had on the island. Roland, our guide, and Charlie, our driver, were a fantastic team. Especially Roland, who was a wealth of information and seemed to always have something interesting to say wherever we were on the route. His language skills were most impressive and his sense of humour kept us smiling throughout. The tour felt planned out to perfection, with an excellent amout of time at each stop; we never felt rushed nor did we feel bored.
What can I say we absolutely loved this tour. We had a fantastic day out and was well worth the money. Coach driver and Tour Guide were amazing and would definitely recommend
Nice and beautiful ! The guide was super nice and funny ! The instruction and anecdotes about the city were a plus. The pick up to your hotel is very convenient. The city itself is beautiful !
