Traveling through Teguise village the old capital of Lanzarote where the traditional market sets every Sunday, we drive until we reach the highest peak of the island 671m Peñas del Chache. A wonderful viewpoint of the northeast coastline and Haria village where we will pass by also to take a look to the famous valley the Valley of the Thousand Palm trees.
Next stop will be at the Mirador del Rio which was created by the creative Cesar manrique. Breathtaking views to La Gracisa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza Islands at the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Huge admiration to the view point.
Lunch time as always, we will take you to one of the most recommended restaurant at the north where you can enjoy a tasty open buffet.
Driving down to the coastline where we will skip the line to Jameos del Agua to discover such a beautiful place created by the local artist and architect Cesar Manrique.
Jameos consists of a subterranean salt lake, restaurant, gardens, emerald-green pool, museum and auditorium.
Before we head up back home, we would love to know more about who was that man that mixed art and architect. That´s why we will go to visit the César Manrique Foundation in Tahiche as an opportunity to know how he could adapt five volcanic bubbles inside his house. To enjoy one of the best exhibitions of his paintings and architectural designs.
