If we will call Lanzarote with a different name we should definitely call it Cesar Manrique Island to know how much influence he has on this volcanic piece of land in the middle of the ocean.
What we will do at in Cesar Manrique Tour?
The first visit will be at the Monument Al Campesino in the middle of the Island where Cesar designed it to honor the farmers for their hard work. Getting to know who is Cesar Manrique will definitely be easy when we enter his Foundation to discover how talented he was. A great exhibition of his painting and how he created his living space, within five volcanic bubbles originated with the18th century eruptions. Driving to the north passing by Teguise village until we reach the highest peak of the Island Peñas del Chache where you can take a look at the east coast of Cesar´s Island while having a drink or coffee. Continuing our artist road through Haria heading up to the north where we will find the breathtaking Mirador del Rio which overlooks to La Graciosa, Motaña Clara, and Alegranza Islands. After those awesome places will go back to the valley of the thousand palm trees where we will have free time to discover this beautiful friendly village and it will be lunchtime so you can enjoy a good meal or a drink. The second chapter of our beloved Cesar Manrique steps will be when you choose to visit one of these interesting sites the Green Caves (Cueva de Los Verdes) or Los Jameos del Agua, both are part of a long lava tunnel of Monte Corona. Cueva de Los Verdes was the place where the locals used it to hide from pirates and slave hunters. It was redesigned by Jesus Soto with beautiful lightning and great optical illusion. Jameos is where Cesar Manrique mixed art and architect to built a fascinating subterranean pathway, an auditorium, and an artificial pool. The last stop is really relaxing spot where terraces of cacti from Africa, America and other places around the world made the place a wonderful Cactus Garden. You can have a drink while you chill looking at the beautiful Cactus or walk around it.

The pick up will be from your hotel entrance or at the nearest point to where you stay, and it is available from Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero, and Playa Blanca.
